The light of the morning streams through our windows making us push back the blanket of night and arise from our sleep. We are ready, Lord, for the new day that impatiently waits to greet us. Today, we seek truth in our day. Let us search for it as something of great value that we have lost, for in it we will find a greater ability to do your will in this day. We will make better decisions in our own lives and receive empowerment to reach out and help others in your way and will. Be our Morning Light, Lord, as you shine on the dark places and reveal your Truth. Bless each one who reads and prays this prayer with us today, with a fruitful day on our Kingdom journey in this life, we pray in the Name of Jesus. Amen.
James 1:18 “Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.”
Night calls from the deep, beckoning the Light to come. Here, Lord, we find the peace that passes all understanding. All of the challenges of the day seem to pale as we seek rest, sweet rest in you. We may not have spoken the words that should have come from our lips, or taken the actions that we should have taken today, but we ask for wisdom and strength for tomorrow to awaken fresh and anew in You, Lord. Tonight we ask for peace in the lives of those who read these words and sweet sleep as they lay their bodies down for a night of rest. Give to them comfort in knowing that you have your arms wrapped tightly around them and will never let them go. Encourage them, Lord, to know that they can arise early in the morning with new opportunities to speak the words that you give, love those around them with your love, and reach out to help the hurting in their paths. Bless each one tonight and give the needed rest to awaken to a glorious new day in you, Lord, we pray, in the Name of Jesus. Amen.
John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
